This trophy was developed in close collaboration with the client to celebrate scientific excellence. From the first design idea to the final piece, our team was responsible for the complete engineering and 3D modeling process, including several client meetings to fine-tune the form and proportions.

Furthermore the trophy was manufactured in two different versions: one in raw stainless steel finish, and one gilded with 24-carat gold leaf by hand. Both versions also exist in two different sizes, based on the level of recognition awarded.

The core body of the trophy was 3D printed in stainless steel (SLM – 1.4404), combining precision with durability. It is mounted on a CNC-milled solid oak wood base. An anodized metal plate with a black printed inscription highlights the name of the award and its recipient.

Multiple design iterations were visualized through high-quality renderings, culminating in a realistic rendering video that confirmed the final concept.

For a direct comparison, the following image displays the finished trophy on the left and the render on the right.

All in all this project exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques, resulting in a trophy that not only honors scientific excellence but also stands as a testament to innovative design and meticulous execution.
